Last night I was playing my monthly poker game with my friends, my Dad and his friends. Same crew for 10-15 years. $50 buy in, we typically have anywhere b/t 12-16 players pending the month and schedules.

We start with 3000 in chips and blinds are 150/300 at this point

My dad is under the gun and raises to $650. I have pocket 9's and call the $650 and the BB (Dave) calls the additional $350

Flop comes out 9-6-6. i flop full house 9's full of 6s. Dream flop

Dave checks, my dad bets $650. i smooth call. Dave raises to $1500, my dad thinks about it for a long time, couple minutes for sure. Ends up going all in. I knew my dad has pockets aces or kings. He likely put me on jacks/Queens. And I know the other guy has 3 6's.

I have full house, so of course I'm all in and now all 3 of us all in. Turns out I am all in and my dad is as well. Dave only has a few hundred left if he lost. monster monster pot

Cards turn over and I was 100% spot on. my dad had Aces and the other guy had 3 6's.

Turn comes out with a KING. Dave now has 6's full of Kings, but my 9's full of 6's is still better full house.

M dad needs an ACE to win and Dave needs the 4th 6 for 4 of a kind

River hits a 6. 4 of a kind!!!! UNREAL. 1% chance.

2 players knocked out and after this hand they were down to 7 players and Dave had 40% of chips and ended up winning $335. So essentially I lost out on $335 on a 1% horrific bad bead.

Poker man. Insane hand

Worst bad beat in poker I've had was losing $1k on a hand with 4 sevens.

Had pair of 7s and flop comes out 7, 7, 8. I'm feeling it. I slow play with it and check to another guy who raised on the button and I just call. The turn is an Ace... I'm thinking hell yeah, this guy probably is playing with a set of aces.

I again check and he bets the pot. I raise all in thinking I can only lose if the 4th ace hits. He calls me.
River is an 8. and I'm psyched until.....

MF'er had pocket 8s... SMH.

I think I’ve posted this before but I went to play 1/2 live early May or so.

I bought in for $300 and was up to about $500 after 30 minutes.

Very aggressive table. A lot of younger 20s guys.

I get KK. There was a $10 straddle and already a raise to $25 and a caller for $25 when it gets to me so I raise to $80 hoping to take it all down there or maybe play one-on-one.

Everyone folds except the guy to my left (the $10 straddler). He goes all-in for about $230. I call of course.

So the pot is more than $500 cash money. I flip KK, he has pocket 9s.

Flop KQ2. So I flop a set. I’m way, way ahead obviously.

Turn 10. River J. He hi Runner-runner straight.

Instead of about $820 and a cash out I was left with $240 or so. I should have left but I titled off the rest of my buy in.

I was pretty pissed. I let it affect my sports betting the next 2-3 weeks. I had been on a good run and it completely changed my mindset and got me into a negative frame of mind. Tried to learn from it though and I haven’t let bad bet beats carry over nearly as much as they did that day.
