Is professional sports bettor a real job?

Some of us can grind out a net win. I came from poker and went to sports and now via bonus and money management can grind out a net win.

But anyone really call themselves that? When people ask me what I do, I have a hard time saying that with a straight face.

I think most guys probably have other hustles. Like a tout service for example or they get money by being on radio, podcasts or television. They definitely know their stuff when it comes to sports betting but it's not their primary source of income

I never understood service/betting advice. Because that is totally dependent on the odds. The O/U might have a 1% edge at 41 -110 on Over. But at 40.5 -105 it might have a 1% edge on Under. Most lines are super fluid and the lines that are not moving already found the market equilibrium. Most value can only be found when lines are first posted, or lines about to close and a rush of money changes the odds. Other than that it's all about news/stream betting when a big news hit. I.E. Breaking new Curry out for the game. Fast book close the lines.
