Sept 12th....
He's been pitching simulated games (gradually increasing pitch count) since before the ALCS started. Its not the same as a real game though. I'm hoping he comes out flat.

I think Scherzer will be on a short leash tonight. He probably won't go more than 5 innings unless he's completely dealing imo because Bochy isn't going to mess around with a 2-0 lead. I took the Astros because I think their bats wake up tonight and get to Scherzer. Also Javier has come up big in the playoffs before so I think the Astros are a live dog with him on the mound.
