Jane 'Nightbirde' Marczewski dies at 31 after cancer battle

I'm pretty sure everyone knows her. I cry every time I watch her audition video. She died Saturday at age 31 after battling cancer for four years.

"You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy."

Wow her voice is amazing...thank you for posting this Genie, I didn't know about her before and don't follow the show...she is totally right about not waiting to be happy, we all really can choose to be happier no matter how hard things get, it's not easy but we can try...just from watching the video you posted I can tell she is an amazing person too, just like the judges said, she is authentic...the world losing good people like her really makes me think about how precious time is and how everyone really has to make better use of our time as much as we can...

Very well said, Tuesday. Life is really short. She's always and foever be an inspiration. Also, I just wish scientist can already find a cure against cancer to save more lives in the future.

OMG Genie. Instant tears. I have not heard her before. Knowing that she has passed and watching that for the 1st time. It hit me hard, especially being a cancer survivor. her voice is amazing and that quote of hers oh my gosh it does not get a truer. Life is hard and will always be hard. So many suffer not being able to be happy. Thank-you for this thread.

On a different note. Few questions as I have not watched those type of shows in a long time?

1. Is that Howie? He does not look well health wise.
2. Is Simon a vampire? He has aged amazing and looks identical to when he started American Idol what 20 years ago.

Yes, that's Howie Mandel, he looks different now that he's 66 years old. Simon I think is using botox to look young. lol.
