Just enjoying the Texas-OU game. No bet

Can’t bet with my heart on my Longhorns today.

I’ve really tried to stay away from betting on my lifelong teams Texas and Cowboys. Hard to stay objective

Side note. I’ve watched Texas play in the Cotton Bowl seven times (two Cotton Bowls and five Red River Rivalries vs OU) and they are 0-7.

1990 vs Miami 46-3 loss
2000 vs Arkansas 24-14 loss

2000-2003, 2012 vs OU

2000 - 63-14 OU
2001 - 14-3 OU
2002 - 35-24 OU
2003 - 65-13 OU
2012 - 63-21 OU

Had to sit through some horrible games if you’re a Longhorn fan.

In 2012, OU was up 35-0 early in the second quarter and me and the ex exited our seats and spent the rest of the day at the State Fair eating Fletcher’s Corn Dogs, etc. we did find a $50 bill on the ground and bought scratch offs at the Lotto Booth with it and turned it into $210. So at least there was that

And I had tickets and plane reservations in:

2013 - Texas 36-20 over OU
2018 - Texas 48-45 over OU

But life got in the way and we couldn’t make the trip.

So I guess I wasn’t meant to see the Longhorns ever win at the Cotton Bowl
