yup, unless u have some insider knowledge - (which is illegal)

nobody can predict how Any company can do within a 24 hr period.

I like Microsoft, they have a good future like the others in chips, tech, and AI as far as the ability to generate income.

Overall though I have a negative short term outlook for the stock market. I beleive some things will catch up to it and we could see a flat to down market that could take awhile to recover from.

I will admit, I was a bit suprised to see the run we recently had, so much of it seems frothy but we've known for a long time that the stock market and economy are pretty much divorced from each other.

I still think August will not be a good month for the stock market overall. There are a lot of metrics that look this way, I think we should get that stock thread going a little more daily, but I've ben focused on some other things.

Put 80 percent in long term - 10 to 20 year plays.

20 percent to swing trade.

Day trading is a skill that takes a shit ton of time and knowledge to master.

There is some truth in this statement.

You don't have to buy at the lowest and sell at the highest, there is usually plenty of room to confirm a move, then get in, then get out before that move stalls or reverses.

Just like "Knowing Your Markets" is necessary in sports trading, understanding the behavior of your individual stocks can be key to recognizing when to jump in and get out for the swing trade time frames.

Investing for the long term is proven, but once you've stuffed those accounts, you can take money left over for a more aggressive or active trading stance, like swing trading.

That's my general opinion.

Check this out, some top performers this year on the radar. Sadly, you never know if there will be a short term profit take or pull back, but these have definitely hit the institutional investing radar, if they weren't already on it. Performance numbers I believe are up to August, but not August.
