Just looking at LeBron career moves and how he does business, I'm not surprised he was quick to use Kobe name to make himself look better with empty promises and could not be depended upon to follow through over time and honour what is expected of him - it's just obvious character flaws of typical selfish self centered people to quit for better opportunities whenever it suits them without any considerations for those left behind, especially the departed, literally rats leaving the sinking ship.
