If only we got to choose.

20 is way too young - 90 is fairly long life.

Now 50 and a wild ride - just checking out instantly - vs 90. IDK…again can’t say my 50 years have been completely nuts - but again almost didn’t have a chance as at finding out.

It’s rough being the first and the last to check out - first your leaving behind a ton of people who will miss you - last you’ve got to deal with watching everyone else having passed.

For me - I’ll take 90 amd boring - because life is NEVER boring. Even the most boring day has excitement if you can find it. Likewise - wild times are over rated. You often find yourself remembering and trying to “one up” a memory. It’s why so many talk about their 20s/early 30s. I did stuff in my 20s that I wouldn’t dare today. At the same time I’ve got more than myself to think about today. Life isn’t as simple as jumping on a plane to Vegas and spending 4 days. Overall though - I like this life better. Nice to have someone and something and not having to create my own excitement.

The thing with sex drugs and money - money can buy the first 2.

Money though is no path to happiness. Have had it many times in my life - never made me happy.

At the same time was broke ass living in an apartment I barely could afford working 2 jobs at 33 and was happy. Driving a beat up mini van and just getting by - but I had my family and friends.

Got money when I turned out to be last of my family - I’d take them back in place of money in a second. The thing about money is it can’t replace people - just things. I’ve got way too many things but not enough family or close friends for that matter.
