I've observed something intriguing over the past year and continue to see it this season. Sharp bookies like pinnacle and bookmaker.eu often show significant disparities in highly liquid markets such as NCAA and NFL. What's interesting is that these differences do not last for a fraction of a second - it is not a steam - but can persist for hours throughout the day.
This kind of divergence doesn’t seem to happen in other high-liquidity leagues, such as Premier League or Bundesliga, where odds are typically very aligned across bookies at any given time.
I'm curious - why does this divergence occur specifically in NCAA, NFL or other american leagues?
Which bookie has the edge on these leagues you think?
I used to consider pinnacle as the market maker for all sports and markets. Recently though, I’ve started to question this. While they may still lead on the closing line - 1-2 hours prior to the kickoff - bookmaker.eu might actually have an edge in setting more accurate lines for early/opening markets.
