We've got 3 teams vying for 2 spots. Current standings.
San Diego +1.5 games
Philly
Milwaukee -1.5 games
Philly
They have an uphill climb. 10 games left, all on the road. 3 @ CHC, 4 @ WAS, 3 @ HOU.
So the first 7 are winnable and the last 3 at Houston may also be because Houston will wrap things up for most AL wins by then so....
I'm thinking they go 6-3, maybe 7-2 over that stretch.
Milwaukee
9 games all are at home. 2 STL, 4 MIA, 3 ARI.
I expect them to lose at least one in each series and maybe 2 vs STL. 6-3 or 5-4.
San Diego
They play 9 games all at home. 3 LAD, 3 CWS, 3 SFG.
They actually play the toughest (most wins by opponents) closing schedule of all 3 teams. I'm betting they go 5-4, maybe 6-3.
If my guesses are right, then Pads, Phillies make the playoffs. If Philly stumbles a little, then Brewers move ahead or they tie. Philly owns the tie-breaker with a 4-2 record vs Brewers.
