He's a record holder for tallest teenager in the world.

He was 6'1" when he was 8 years old.

He was 7 feet tall in 8th grade.

He was recruited as a 3 star recruit at 7'6" and committed to Florida last fall but he's still growing and is now 7'9".

He might even get taller, he's only 18 years old.

He will be the tallest college basketball player ever, and if he does make it to the NBA he would be the tallest NBA player ever as well.

He started balling at 5 years old and ran into the problem of the other teams challenging his claimed age because of his height.

Well, of course. As far as college goes, Edey was basically the top.

I haven't seen this guy in action, to be honest, but I would imagine if he had 1/10th the skills of Wemby he would be more than 3 start or more well known.

For now, he's just widely known for being tall.

But he does have plenty of years to develop.

Florida fans must feel a little excited if he's going to be a starter.
