The last team Ohio St. played that could shutdown the pass was ND. Although they won it was a toss up. Now, I will say Penn St. schedule has been a little weak. This is clearly the best team they will have faced this year.

Penn State scored 31 on them because Iowa’s offense had 4 first downs and like 80 total yards all game

Penn State averaged like 4 yards/play that game

It’s not a great team by Ohio State standards but it should win this game at home

Indepenent measures of defense that incorporate strength of schedule say different.
They are all pretty close on Defense.

Iowa 1st
Penn St. 2nd
Ohio State 4th

On EPA (expected pts added) basis:
Penn St. 2nd
Iowa 4th
Ohio St. 7th

The real differentiation between these teams is on offense.

Nobody takes Iowa or Wisconsin seriously the best they can do is make the Big Ten Championship game and get drilled by 40.

Biggest knock on Penn St has to = weak Strength of Schedule YTD.

Pretty late in the season to be facing your 1st real test. Penn St QB literally might shit himself once he sees what he's up against.

Very flawed metrics, lot of noise and simply not enough sample size.

This happens in NFL as well, though less noise

Iowa is a good defensive team and play well as a unit, but Buckeyes got Sunday players

If they played it would be something like 38-7 Buckeyes

Yep all the meat in the Big Ten is in the East, and by meat I mean Michigan and Ohio State

Penn State is closest thing, and they are also in the East. But they've been the little bitch to Michigan/Ohio State (especially Ohio State)
