I don't blame the Phillies for not allowing the alligator into the game. According to their official policy it's only service dogs. I think other fans would freak out seeing an alligator at a game.

Why not? Doesn't everyone have a service dog or animal nowadays? In last few days I had a dog sitting in chair next to me in sandwich shop. Lady on bus huge dog on lap. Most people seem to be emotionally scarred apparently.
Don't get me wrong I love dogs but it's gotten freaking ridiculous out there. Anything goes nowadays.
