Re-watching the 2006 Rose Bowl

With my godson. Amazing how good those teams were.

I honestly thing both of them could be Georgia or anyone else in 2023 by three touchdowns-plus.

I loved the Longhorns of 2004-2009. Great run of three years each with Vince and Colt at qb. With some tremendous talent around them. I attended every Texas home game in the 2000s.

So glad I got to see them win a National Title. Will always believe they beat Alabama for another Natty if Colt doesn’t get hurt.

Another thing that amazes me when I re-watch this game is I’m only early in the second quarter and I’ve seen at least 7-8 hits/tackles that would have resulted in disqualifications in today’s game.

They weren’t even flagged in 2006.

Yeah those hard hits are fun to watch, what I hate is the everlasting effect it has on these players brains, so I’m glad they are going away from that type of hit.

Lots of better titles out there. NFL Madden series for sure
