Damn - too bad.

Heard he wasn’t doing well - didn’t know the end was near though.

I mean - reality is this guy probably saw more in his time on this earth than many ever will. Literally played both the biggest shows and the smallest - it didn’t matter to the Dead. They showed up and their fans followed - everywhere.

I remember hearing about their shows out at Legend Valley in Central Ohio growing up in the late 80s - thinking who in the hell is going to listen to a bunch of old hippies in a cow field in BFE Ohio - until a girl at my high school helped me understand the attraction - literally all ages and a very “interesting” experience just people watching at their shows.

I’ve never been one for a 20 minute long groove song with no particular direction - but I appreciate them and their talent. Both Leah and Garcia were actually very talented musically I know.

RIP - the show goes on, but it will never be the same.

Sad day for us fans.

He was a treeeemendous talent and I listened often. Got to see some shows with him as well.

Oh to hear him sing Box of Rain one more time.

RIP
