I've pointed this out before and it's quite simple

If Russia fires any missiles or nukes, obviously serious damage is going to be done to whatever countries he attacks

However, in return, it will be the end of Russia as we know it as the United States and all allies retaliate and turn all of Russia into a cloud of dust

That's an interesting opinion.

But why would Russia fire any missiles? I don't think they would do that, unless US/NATO does something first (they have a bad habit of doing that) and then Russia would have no choice but to respond.

Of course, if the west is trying to expand nato into Ukraine (or into Finland, Sweden etc) then Russia is going to react to it. They don't want nato too close to St. Petersburg or Murmansk. It's common sense. Just like United States would react if China or Russia got too close to Washington DC or Los Angeles.

So he is willing to kill thousands of innocent people just to protect his territory. If that's what he really think then NATO and other Countries deserve to crush his country. Putin thinks he is God and can do whatever he want.
