Screw-up of all screw-ups?? Sucking at your job...

Saw this last night. Sure many of us here who have had co-workers that are just terrible at their job. How many are impacted by this screw-up? Are they now not allowed into heaven?? Sure some have already died and now what does their poor grieving family think. This could be the screw-up of all screw ups?? Ridiculous that mistakenly changing one word is this set in stone.

Here is a good man that has bettered so many lives and now he and the 1,000s he has baptized has to deal with this. Seems insane the Catholic church would go this route.

Religious intolerance or any sort of unreasonable intolerance has been a problem for as long as time...to claim because one word was uttered in error, is more important than the intent behind the words, really shows how unreasonable authoritarianism is.

We and I are the same meaning only one is plural the other not plural...personally I don't see any problem, but then again I'm not a priest and I don't have the authority or authoritarianism of the Catholic Church.

Authoritarianism and intolerance and unreasonableness, are the some of the biggest problems in the world today - I pretty much just sum it up as pig culture, always people abusing power or authority for whatever reason.

Just like alot of laws, it's just about control - being able to exert control over others and what they believe and do.

The Catholic Church is a religious government that used to be a political government as well controlling most of the world, they decided that if things aren't said word for word they'll be bad consequences - how they formed this reasoning only those who invented it know...but I think it has to do with making the clerical class more magical and important than they really are...which most governments try to make themselves look more important than they really are too.
