What were the highlights?
The dinners. No question about that. We paid for a specially dining package where we got three nights in some of the specialty restaurants. We went to the steakhouse which was amazing, followed by a Brazilian steakhouse where you get to eat as much meat as you want along with a salad bar. Lastly we went to hibachi/teppanyaki which was really good.
I got off in 2/3 ports and just walked around a bit by the port area. I did not do any excursions this trip.
Casino was a little bit of a roller coaster. Ended up losing a ton of my first day but then ended up getting it back only to lose a little bit by the end of the trip. All in all it wasn't terrible. I got free drinks in the casino for the last 2 days plus a bottle of wine sent to the room and for my next sailing with Royal Caribbean I am eligible for free balcony cabin along with $500 in freeplay.
The shows were good. Some of them were better than others including an outdoor water show which I will post a video of. The comedy show was very funny.
The only negative about the sailing was they were over 5,000 people on board and on this particular ship you need to make reservations for all the shows and all the dining. So that was a little bit of a headache trying to coordinate all that and unfortunately one day we had one of our reservations canceled when someone else booked a reservation and gave an incorrect cabin number. Thankfully they made it right by comping one of our other meals that we ended up just paying out of pocket for.
All in all a really relaxing trip
