So to those who saw it - what are your thoughts.

I’m actually torn on this one - it’s great the guy finally got what he deserved while alive - and of course to be surrounded by his former teammates when it occurred - but at the same time is it right showing him clearly incapacitated laying in a bed unable to move while he deals with this horrible disease.

How much he understands- only his immediate family/caregivers can say - and I’m sure seeing teammates was a positive for him - but do you think he really CARES about the HOF now ?

He’s fighting for his life and little things are a very big deal to him clearly - does the HOF ceremony even mean anything at all ? Why not just have a family member go to the ceremony - tell us how Steve’s at home surrounded by teammates explaining their absence from the ceremony and let them man avoid being a sideshow at a celebration.

Also - think about everyone else who got inducted - your there spending the day with those closest and celebrating a huge honor only to have to watch a colleague struggling. It’s kind of like the baseball HOF when they would look into the crowd and see an ancient Willie Mays struggling to get around and to be reminded age catches everyone. While great to see legends - it’s hard to celebrate watching something like that.

I was thinking all of the same things

Not sure if they had to have his approval or only his family

And you are right he probably could care less at this point

Such a terrible disease maybe even worse than the C- word since it takes so long to destroy you

We can all only pray that we get neither

Again - just another complaint I have about halls of fame.

You are either “good enough” or you’re not. In my opinion Steve was. But they kept pushing him off and eventually he got worse so they decided “this is the year - we need to honor him while he’s alive” kinda thing.

It sucks in that he should have had a moment there with Kevin Greene with both being inducted now - aside from standout careers on the football field - a couple of great wrestlers too in their time.
