I'm still in mine and what I do is look at Vegas odds every week and try to find teams at home laying at least a touchdown. I still have some of them left so I choose between them. This week Cincy and Buffalo come to mind for me. I have used Buffalo in a lot of my pools but in one where I have both these two teams left I went with Buffalo. In most of my pools though I went with Cincy this week because they should take care of business at home. As for strategy there is no wrong way to play this but I try to take home teams whenever possible and pick on some of the bad teams with teams laying a touchdown or more against them at home.
Also worth noting there's no Thanksgiving requirement, so no reason for me to save a Dallas or Detroit for that day, even though those would be good options
My lean right now is Dallas
Cincinnati may be popular, but I guess in this pool you never know
Also think Cincinnati is gonna beat Pittsburgh at home Week 12 pretty handily if I had to guess
What's up everyone. As we are now single digit days away from the NFL season starting back up, i'm sure a lot of ya'll will be entering fantasy football leagues, pick em pools and Eliminator challenges. I'm going to use this thread weekly to post strategy and potential teams to be looking for...
Is your pool one pick per week, or do you have to make extra picks for Thanksgiving or Christmas? Are there many people left?
If either of those is the case I would hang on to the Cowboys for when you really need them/most everyone else has used them. Of the teams you mentioned Baltimore has the toughest schedule so I would rather take them than the other two.
Chicago and Pittsburgh are options, but both figure to be good sized favorites in weeks 16 and 13 respectively. If you don't have other good options for those weeks you might want to save them, but if you do have better options it's better to use them now as they will be less public when they're decent sized chalk.

One per week until Week 15, then it's two picks per week. Nothing special for Thanksgiving or Christmas
If there was a Thanksgiving factor, I would save Cowboys
No chance I'm going to use Chicago at any point, since they are awful. Pittsburgh maybe in the final weeks, but they're probably gonna be a decent fade
Good thing you got rid of some bad teams already. Rams, Washington, and Denver wouldn't help you going forward. You have already used a lot of playoff teams so you still have some good teams left too. Teams in the last month are a crapshoot so just make sure you get week 10 correct. I am using Pittsburgh this week because they can't beat anyone in their division right now.
The Boys are a slam dunk this week but another slam dunk the following when they play the Panthers in Charlotte if you want to take a chance. There will be more Cowboy fans than Panther fans in the seats. It's getting late to try to be cute so Genie's advice is pretty solid, taking it a week at a time. Going to be some pretty decent eliminations this week so it is the Boys this week for me in 2 of my 4 contests. Still have KC, Philly and Miami in 3 contests.
Staying away from Chicago is wise, Panthers may very well get win #2 tonight. Panther D usually gets worn down late by the ineptness of their offense, on the field way too long. Tonight may be a different story but no way to trust either team.
