Among the things that occurred last evening was the Boston Celtics’ lack of passion. What is the problem with the C’s? We offer our thoughts.
Also Tuesday, Ohtani got beat and the Blue Jays ace is having a rough start. The top center “free agent” in college hoops moved to a new location and money was the driving force. The Oakland A’s are not close to moving, but they already have switched locations in Las Vegas where they are thought to be relocating. This and who is doing what for baseball totals at this point of the season.
That was Boston’s 25th SU loss as a favorite this season. It appears on the surface to be a coaching issue, especially on defense, and a lack of maturity from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown in particular.
Denver put those losses where the cactus grow tall behind them and came out ready against Phoenix and buried the Suns as 6.5-point home favorites. We know Nikola Jokic is a great player, as this shows:
But Deandre Ayton has to do better than this. Total stats for this series (5 games):
Dallas and Seattle look like it’s headed for seven games as the teams have alternated victories. The goaltending has left much to be desired by both squads.
We know Kansas City is off to a terrible start and it is brought to further life after last night’s defeat to the White Sox.
After becoming one of the dominant young pitchers in baseball, Alek Manoah has struggled mightily to start 2023. The Toronto ace did not last five innings giving up four hits (1 HR) and four walks while striking out only one Phillies batter in the loss. Manoah is 1-3, with a 4.83 ERA and WHIP of 1.66.
As the chart shows, walks and K’s are headed in opposite directions, and hits allowed are way up. Bares watching to see if he ends up on the IL soon.
While we agree players deserve some money from the schools they play for making millions, if you read Dickinson’s quote in the picture below, that feels a bit messed up, like they deserve money. Maybe you disagree, but this feels like more controls are necessary.
An interesting aspect to this was back in February a connection of ours said the Tropicana deal was going to be where the A’s would move. Interesting to hear it is back in play.

For a team thought capable of winning a championship, Boston does not play like it. In a pivotal Game 5 on their home court, the Celtics (-7.5) were not ready to play, casual on defense which allowed Philadelphia to get in a flow early and mostly was not on the contest.That was Boston’s 25th SU loss as a favorite this season. According to various reports including - Front Office Sports - The Oakland A's are shifting their Vegas plans. Initially set to buy land from Red Rock Resorts, the team is instead entering a reported deal with Bally's - for the Tropicana site on the Las Vegas Strip. The Tropicana will be demolished for a $1.5 billion, 30,000-seat ballpark.An interesting aspect to this was back in February a connection of ours said the Tropicana deal was going to be where the A’s would move. Interesting to hear it is back in play.

He's expected to receive a suspension, a $1 million salary reduction, and sensitivity training.In truth, Huggins is fortunate to keep his job, however, to see his name connected with - sensitivity training - brings a chuckle to us.
