Despite all the thrilling action we have witnessed in the Men's NCAA Tournament, the Final Four is lacking in appeal and some facets are going to take a financial bath. That might include wagering also for Saturday.
We know Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are heading to the Hall of Fame and they just gave us another reason why. NFL players are mad at owners as their greed is unending as you can read. Plus, MLB talks along with free MLB picks and top trends.
About Last Night…
NBA
In the year of the NBA where no lead is safe seemingly at any point, Golden State was down 20 to New Orleans and still came back to win and cover as 9-point home faves 120-109. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson were a combined 13 of 26 from three-point land to lead the comeback and they again accomplished something that has never been done by others.NHL
After four straight losses and staring at No. 5, Tampa Bay dug down deep and arguably gave their best performance of the season in shutting out Carolina on the road 4-0. The Lightning was a +120 underdog and dominated the neutral zone and outhit the Hurricanes 28-14.NIT
With UAB and North Texas winning, this sets up a Conference USA NIT Championship battle. This will be the 4th NIT Championship to feature conference opponents, and the 1st in 20 years (St. John's def. Georgetown in 2003, was later vacated). If you have been backing C-USA teams in the postseason you have made a killing!
Also, we would be remiss not to mention that despite Wisconsin leading North Texas 42-29 at the half. With the total at a low 115, the Badgers didn’t score in the last nine minutes and lost 56-54 for an easy, if unreal, Under winner.

NFL – Teams Can Now Play Multiple Thursday Night Games
As the NFL has tried to make Thursday night like Sunday night in terms of football viewers watching, they have struggled. After a horrible schedule of bad games to watch last season, the NFL is plowing ahead. After the rule of only one appearance per team per year, that was voted out. That means certain more prominent teams could have two appearances and several others will have the advantage of playing none.
Then it could get worse, as back-to-back Thursday night games, such as a Thanksgiving game followed by a Thursday night game the next week, would only count as one short-week game, so some teams could wind up playing three Thursday games.
The owners and the Commish Roger made it sound like they were doing the players a favor in not voting to flex Thursdays also. So much for player safety, because making more money is never enough.
Men's and Women's Final Four – Ticket Pricing Going In Opposite Directions
With no Houston and Texas in the Final Four and those that made it lacking in brand appeal, tickets for the men’s event are plummeting to below $100 in some cases. CBS has already acknowledged this will be the least-watched Final Four in years.
Conversely, the women’s Final Four is white hot!
MLB - Here We Go
The baseball season starts Thursday. An interesting line finds the Mets, one of the favorites to win the National League, with starting Max Scherzer, they are slight road underdogs at Miami. Granted, we know Sandy Alcantara is throwing for the Fish, but that is a surprising number from this seat. Your thoughts?Top Betting System
NBA - Lakers (-2.5) at Bulls
The Lakers lost to the Bulls at home by 10 points on Sunday. Now, they have a quick turnaround, which appears in their favor. Play On road favorites like the Purple and Gold, revenging a straight-up loss as a home favorite, off an upset loss as a home fave. Teams like the Lakers are 25-6 ATS since 2018 in this spot, winning by 11.7 PPG.Out the Door

Women's CBB – This Is Fascinating
From @JoePompliano on Twitter. The women’s college basketball Iowa-Louisville game last weekend averaged 2.5 million viewers on ESPN. That's more viewers than the most-watched NBA game on ESPN this year (2.15 million). Next is the great Caitlin Clark and Iowa is set to face undefeated South Carolina this weekend, we might set a new viewership record.
MLB – Interesting Quote From the White Sox Manager
As told to Buster Olney of ESPN – “The days of 26 players taking on the personality of the manager are gone,” says White Sox Manager Pedro Grifol. “It’s now about the manager taking on the personality of his players,”What Bettors Like – Play or Fade?
