IDK. Using the term "molester" in reference to how badly Nestor "beats up" on batters seems kind of tame. You know he was just trying to be cute by having it rhyme with the pitchers name. I mean what the hell rhymes with Nestor that would fit.

I realize in today's politically correct world, we can't say anything without causing problems but, Jim Kaat is 83 yo and likely grew up using a lot worse terms in what was considered normal/acceptable conversation when he was younger. I'm not condoning his comment, I'm just pointing out how it probably didn't register in his mind as offensive.

Punishment.... Tell him, don't do it again and move on.

Kaat has always been a goofball. He said something racist a year or so ago. He is from an age when you could be openly racist and say that kind of thing. He will issue an apology and get a pass for being 83. I can't believe he is still doing TV.

Sure he should not have said it but, give him slap on the wrist and move on. Unless its repetitive.
Bondguy mentioned some prior incidents. If it is repetitive issue, then he has to go.

Jim Kaat is an extremely nice person so people know there are no ill intentions. He was one of the first guys to really be into nutrition and was pitching in his 40s and he was a rock. He was ahead of his time but always a bit of a fruit loop.

I always liked him as a baseball announcer. He is a really intense guy and very smart which is why is he still at it at 83. He had more to lose than most and is a health nut so he is not your average 83-year-old. He is a talker so he just says what he thinks.

Thanks for explaining you beat me to it

It's just another example of our pathetic society thinking the worst

Back in the day when someone said molest they thought attack or harass someone

Now of course, people instantly think sexually

He was simply referring to how he was abusing the other team's batters and mowing them down

I hate this ignoramus world lol
