Yes this year I definitely need to keep better track of losses for 2022 taxes. And yes I needed to sign a W-2 G form

How do you track losses if you’re betting cash?

I guess if you’re betting sports you can save the losing tickets?

What about slots/video poker though? How can you track those?

Also, if you can use losing sports betting tickets (not sure if you can use those) then I guess you can grab losing tickets left around on the tables or in the trash from other losers and claim those saying they are yours?

Technically according to the IRS you need to keep a log of gambling losses. So for example you would put the date, time, the machine information and how you ended up doing $ wise

Well if you using your players card at the time they can track it. I wouldn’t risk making up information especially if you get audited
