What makes you even think that? The guy has been around for years and has hundreds of thousands of posts across many different forums. He has countless classic videos and is a legend on any forum that he comes across
So using the criteria of:
- Thousands of post
- Instant name recognition across multiple forums
- Creator of classic videos posted to forums
That would suggest there is a place for Brock in the poster HOF as well.
I will grant you JJ created some all time great bits that remain funny today - so did Saturday Night Live for a decade plus. Things change - sometimes the spark fades and the bits just aren’t as good.
My definition of an all time great poster is one who post info that post winners or at least gives deeper insight that makes the reader a better handicapper and inspires them to pick their own winners - the old feed a man a fish - teach a man to fish adage.
We have plenty of people who post picks - and some are very good. The best though are the ones who can elaborate on WHY they like a side and what they look for. I’m a decent writer - but I simply don’t posses the insight some of these posters posses instinctively. The content that keeps people “tuning in” to a forum is the content that makes POSTERS not the forum money.
JJ is great entertainment from time to time - and even occasionally shares a pick or 2 - but he isn’t making anyone rich. Give me a poster who can share 60% winners and tell me how they do it any day.
I’ll of course continue to support JJ - but let’s not confuse quantity with quality or remarkable with memorable.
