I’ve been using postimages.org. It adds an extra step or two, but avoids the problems noted above.

load pic onto postimages.org, select “Hotlink for Forums,” paste link into body of post.

I had similar problems, once I realized to upload as medium, never any issues

If it's pictures directly from your phone that you've taken Brock often they are too large
