Why Is Late Game Play Calling So Bad Football?

We see it weekly college and pro people scratching their heads of game blowing calls

They want to get the game done with. The programming needs to continue on time after the games, too much $ invoilved.

To much pressure to win. Coaches and refs making mistakes when they know it means so much to win.
