I think overall we are seeing more widespread talent across the Nation which says equated to more smaller schools surprising

But yes, still too many stacked teams

NCAA needs to address it somehow by the reducing the number of scholarships allowed per school so top talent has to be spread out more

One option that would really be great is if schools were only allowed to recruit within their state! Not realistic of course

Georgia
Michigan
Ohio St
Alabama
LSU

yup same 5 teams every year
It takes something like a very good or fluky year from a different school, to catch the eyes of top up & coming high school prospects, to have a chance of new powers being created

It happens though

Remember it used to be different

All 3 Florida schools FSU, Miami, Florida used to dominate the top 10

They proved me wrong for one game at least.
we will find out a lot more about them.
maybe LSU will end up not being as good as first thought.
to see a BKelly team get handled like that was somewhat shocking.

FSU sched has some potential landmines:

@BC (chestnut hill tricky place to play)
@Clemson (expect tigers to bounce back after that embarrassing loss to duke)
hosting VaTech (year two under new HC hokies should be much better this year but probably lose by DD here)
@Wake Forest (clawson a great coach)
@Pitt (road game, let's see)
vs Miami (canes bouncing back big but game in Tallahassee)
@ Florida (rivalry game in the swamp and FL will likely be a much better team than they showed in salt lake city).

barring key injury to the QB, i will say FSU finishes regular season 11-1

Yeah 10-2 or 11-1 very feasible for them this year. I still think they’re over ranked currently at #4.
