The culture (or change in it) is what defines behavior as stupid.
You cannot describe a course of conduct or behavioral pattern without first establishing it in your culture as subjective or concrete.
Here the male attacks the ump, we don't know what the ump did to provoke this, but there was most definitely a physical reaction to it. That behavior, between 2 men, was not that long ago, considered cause & effect (provocation/ reaction). The ump, likely, would not have egged on a much younger and stronger man, and that man would have been respected for his physical size & use that as a deterrent to use of force.
But in today's culture, simply relying on your stature is considered toxic masculinity, and it is frowned up, and the liberal/ progressive movement of this culture is to do or say or provoke as you wish, because the liberals do not tolerate retaliation or force. They are "woke" and fighting back is toxic, firing back w rhetoric is toxic, thinking differently or for yourself is toxic (or RETODDED as a prior poster suggested).
And that's the problem. Not all men are spineless, not all men adhere to the cultural changes occurring in urban areas that suppress men or attempt to redefine appropriate male behavior.
I'm guessing the ump was a fukking woke clown, and he got knocked out because he wouldn't stop provoking a dude that, in any other era of mankind up to the last 24 months we've been on earth, would be a fair deterrent for such provocation.
