I share all our Netflix, Max, etc with my parents

They have YouTube TV. I thought I saw somewhere where you can share it with up to four or five people in your family. Is this correct?

I have officially given up on spectrum

Great question Genie.

If the 4 people you share with have a different IP address is that going to be a problem for Youtube TV?
I'm curious because I've read Netflix is cracking down on that.
Yes, I was one of those freeloaders on Netflix who came to an end when they implemented that rule. I need to make my own account and subscribe and pay the whole amount.

$72.99/month shared by 5, not bad. So you can also share it even if not with the same household?
Does anyone definitively know the answer on this? My parents are senior citizens in my mom sometimes gets confused with all this so I don’t want to cause they’re set up any problems if I login with their login and password.

Looks like you are free to share Bigjay, even if in different households as long as you live in the same country.

If you've purchased a YouTube TV membership, you can create a family group to share your membership with up to five people at no additional cost. When you create a family group, you become the family manager. As the family manager, you can invite family members (13 or older) to join your family group.

Family member requirements
To join a family group, you must:

  • Be age 13 or older and have a Google account
  • Live in the same household as the family manager
  • Live in the same country as the family manager
  • Not be part of another family group

I may have misread bullet 2. Might want to study a little more on this Bigjay.
Sorry.

Everytime you sign onto a new screen you log in with your credentials. Then its set

if more than 5-6 at once then it kicks someone else

then you send a text chain to kick someone out. But very unlikely that happens
But if they are like Neflix who just started this, soon you will not be able to switch anymore

In the beginning with their new setup, when you login to your account at another location, the first 2-3 times it asks you and allows you to change your home location

Then it won't let you anymore eventually

Not saying youtube does this but in what Tanko posted it does say sharing must be in the same household, so maybe that's just a scare tactic or they will actually have the IP tracking on device(s) like Netflix now

I think most will agree they should at least allow you to share with 1 other person/location before their tracking software kicks in if your account starts showing up in a 3rd location

For example Microsoft will allow you to share a video game download with one other person/household

Maybe they need to get into the streaming business haha
