The last meeting between Antigua & Barbuda and the US, to determine a reasonable timeframe within which the US is expected to comply with the WTO ruling on the internet gambling issue, ended without determing real progresses.

“We now have to go back to the WTO and follow the matter through. We are not dissuaded in this matter and we will be pressing ahead and using all available channels to ensure that the ruling is fully implemented by the US in accordance with our interpretation of the ruling,” said Dr. Errol Cort, Antigua & Barbuda Minister of Finance and the Economy.

The process of binding arbitration requires the WTO to put together a panel, in front of which both sides will be allowed to make representation in due corse, followed by a binding resolution in 30 days.
