The court rejected the legal action submitted by soccer players and clubs (Juventus and Real Madrid among others), which wanted to prevent the use of their names and images in online betting websites without a remuneration, backing the online betting companies opinion. “This use of the image does not have a commercial aim, but it is an application of the information right,” explained one of the lawyers of the accused companies.
