The Betfair Casino powered by Chartwell Technology is the latest addition to a portfolio of products that includes the world’s leading betting exchange, online poker and Exchange Games.
Within the Betfair Casino, which operates under the Betfair Games brand licensed in Malta, is the revolutionary Zero Lounge offering classic casino games such as Baccarat, Blackjack, Jacks or Better and Roulette, all with zero house edge.
“We aim to offer more choice to our customers and we want to do this in an innovative ‘Betfair way’. That is why we created these adapted games where the house does not have the traditional advantage over the punter,” said Steve Ives, Director of Betfair Games.
“The words fair and casino no longer contradict each other,” said Betfair spokesman Oliver Bowen. “For these adapted games, the rules maintaining a consistent house edge have been changed so that players are given a fair chance.
“Betfair is in a class of its own. They have raised the bar of excellence with respect to their commitment to regulatory compliance, technological advancement and marketing focus in the online gaming industry, all of which have contributed to their tremendous success. We are both proud and honoured to team up with such an innovative and powerful gaming brand and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship,” commented Darold H. Parken, President and CEO of Chartwell.
Elsewhere, CryptoLogic unveiled Hold\’Em Blackjack, a brand new game that combines the simplicity of blackjack with the intensity of poker. Unlike traditional blackjack, Hold\’Em Blackjack\’s \’player vs. player\’ format means the prize pot is determined by player bets, which ensures that a player wins every hand. “Hold\’em Blackjack pits players against each other, rather than the House, taking blackjack to a whole new level,” said Andy Goetsch, VP of Poker Software Development for CryptoLogic.
Probability, which recently launched VC Mobile casino with Victor Chandler, added a new \’Pro-Blackjack\’ game to its portfolio of Casino, Slots and Bingo cash games for mobile phone users. “For the first time, Pro-Blackjack also offers players our new \’just one thumb\’ (JOT) interface for mobile gambling, designed to make play more comfortable, intuitive and accurate. We plan to roll this out across all our games as part of our policy of continuous investment in our game assets,” commented CEO Charles Cohen.
