The New Zealand TAB reported $8.3m in bets on the Melbourne Cup, down 4 per cent down on last year\’s record.
Elsewhere, At The Races signed a deal with Sky Channel in Australia to cover two meetings every day. UK bets will be handled by ATR’s US partner The Racing Network International (TRNi) and channelled through the Australian racing hub in Woodbine, Canada.
TRNi has various agreements in place for its co-mingling software to be used by UK bookmakers such as Ladbrokes, William Hill and SkyBet.
