On Monday Betfair will launch betting at SPs on all place markets on British horseracing, adding to the win-only betting option introduced in December 2007.
“The average over-rounds are a near-perfect 100% and 81% of winning horses since the launch are priced higher with Betfair SP,” a Betfair spokesperson told The Daily Mail. “While there have been situations when horses have returned at significantly lower odds on occasions due to weight of money, the overall robustness of the Betfair SP product has led us to roll out the place-only option sooner than anticipated.”
