CHAMPIONS Chelsea put their opening day Blues\’ to one-side last weekend when they beat London rivals Tottenham at Wembley and they face another tough challenge on Sunday at home to Everton.
Antonio Conte\’s side played well to add more Wembley woes to Spurs\’ in their 2-1 win, but this might be a lot tougher than the bookies are suggesting when they host a very fast improving Toffee\’s side.
The bookies make Chelsea their heavy 1.40 favourites for the win and that looks a very, very short price against an in-form and confident Everton side.
Ronald Koeman has been a very busy man in the summer transfer market and it\’s paying off as his side are unbeaten both domestically and in Europe in their opening six matches and have only conceded the single goal in those games.
Three-year major signings goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane and the returning Wayne Rooney have all slotted in nicely and with two goals in his opening two games Rooney looks better and happier than he has for a long time.
Last weekend they were very unlucky not to get all three points in a 1-1 draw at Man City and odds of the general 8.00 for the visitors to get big when does look big when you consider that the Blues\’ still have key players missing at the weekend.
The Blues\’ however, won this fixture 5-0 last season and it\’s 56.0 for a repeat score-line at Betfair Sportsbook, which won\’t be happening but Everton do look a very strong defensive unite marshalled by the impressive Keane and this is going to be a lot closer than many predict.
I am not going to go all out for the Everton win, but I won\’t to get with them in some capacity and at the general 1.66, I do like the visitors +1.5 goals on the Asian handicap on any of our green listed bookmakers, which looks by some distance the best bet to have in this one.
