Earlier in January, the Dutch Minister of Justice announced a plan to introduce a UIGEA-style online gambling ban requesting banks and other financial institutions in the Netherlands to block transactions to and from online gambling sites.
Over 30 foreign internet gambling sites are believed to target the Dutch market, with some 400,000 Dutch citizens believed to gamble online regularly.
