Kevin Dale, former Betfair marketing director, has been appointed as director of sports betting at Littlewoods Bet Direct, following Steve Taylor departure.
Roger Withers, Sportech’s acting managing director, confirmed that Taylor’s departure was “due to strategic differences regarding the continued development of the business.”
Holding company Sportech revealed last month that 50 per cent of its 2004 betting gross win came from non-sports activity.
The firm is taking action to further reduce the betting division, while developing a Bet Direct-branded casino and poker product to launch in the second quarter of 2005.
