The North East\’s longest-established bookmaking firm has announced plans to re-brand its betting offices as Pagebet and to launch its interactive betting website powered by Optical Mark Systems.
Reuben Page reached the landmark of 50 betting shops with a projected annual turnover for this year of £60m.
“Betting has become a much more acceptable past time and the Government\’s taxation changes over the years have made betting more accessible to the general public,” said Austin Carney, owner of the company since 1989.
“The whole betting culture has become more user-friendly, helped by the explosion in football and the continued popularity of horse racing.”
Pagebet will sponsor the Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle Racecourse in November.
