UEFA has opened an investigation into allegations of match-fixing surrounding the UEFA Cup match between Panionios and Dinamo Tbilisi on Wednesday. “If it was proven that one of the clubs, through its players or officials has been involved in fixing the game, sanctions would be severe,” a UEFA spokesman said.
