Caesars Keeps Its Name in the News with Baltimore Ravens Deal

If exposure within the exploding US legal sports betting scene is the name of the game, Caesars Entertainment appears to be on a terrific path. Not many weeks or days go by without the Heavyweight betting brand’s name not being a part of the wagering newswire.

Last week, the company signed a landmark deal with Genius Sports to bring Official League Data into their fold and on Wednesday, Caesars announced a multi-faceted “premier sports betting partner” deal with one of the league’s most high-profile teams, the Baltimore Ravens.

Caesars Sportsbook will provide Ravens fans and other sports enthusiasts in the Maryland market a premium sports betting experience with its mobile app and at its eventual retail sportsbook, which is currently under development at Horseshoe Casino Baltimore. That is when the Maryland legal sports betting scene goes live.

What’s the Deal?

Caesars and the Ravens announced what they have called a “multi-faceted partnership” deal in which the sports betting company becomes the official sports betting provider of the iconic NFL franchise and Casino Horseshoe Baltimore will become the team’s exclusive official casino partner.

It is said to be a five-year deal that will give Caesars valuable naming rights throughout the club level at Ravens’ home field – M&T Bank Stadium. The usual signage perks will be visible throughout the stadium as well, including the stadium’s LED scoreboards. It is fair to say that the Caesars brand will be impossible to miss throughout the park and will likely make it into broadcasts of Ravens games.

Chris Holdren, Co-President of Caesars Digital, commented: “We’re excited to grow our strategic partnership with the Baltimore Ravens by serving as the two-time Super Bowl champions’ official sports betting partner and expanding our role as the team’s only casino partner. This new agreement clearly establishes Caesars Sportsbook and Horseshoe Baltimore as the team’s most prominent sports betting partner and provides our customers with extraordinary access to Ravens games, signature events at M&T Bank Stadium, Ravens training camp – even the team’s away game trips and the Super Bowl.”

Along with signage, Caesars gains access to all Ravens marks and will immediately become the title sponsor of the Ravens’ pre-game show on baltimoreravens.com, mobile app, Facebook page, and other digital platforms. The team’s signature gambling game Flock Pick 6 will also be sponsored by Caesars going forward on the team’s website and mobile app.

More on the Horseshoe Baltimore Angle

Horseshoe Baltimore Casino also comes out a winner with the latest agreement between Caesars and the Ravens. Their brand exposure immediately increases exponentially and comes ahead of plans to develop a high-end entertainment district between the Ravens home field and the Horseshoe Casino itself.

“This agreement represents a bold expansion of the winning relationship we already share with Caesars and Horseshoe Baltimore. We are constantly exploring ways to create additional opportunities to engage with our fans and introduce our team to new audiences while supporting the city we call home.

In collaboration with Caesars and Horseshoe Baltimore, we are not only continuing to develop unique fan activations but also transforming the city’s Southern Gateway into a diversified entertainment district unavailable to sports fans in other NFL markets,” said Baltimore Ravens Chief Sales Officer, Kevin Rochlitz.

Horseshoe Baltimore becomes the host of an annual event at the Caesars branded club level at M&T Bank Stadium and will also host a pre-Ravens game reception in that same area, called Ravenstown Saturday night before the Ravens take the field.

Maryland Not Live Yet

Legal sports betting in Maryland has not quite come to fruition just yet but there are still hopes that a platform will launch sometime during the NFL season. Caesars gets a leg up in the Maryland scene with their Ravens partnership deal.

It has to be considered a win for the Baltimore Ravens, Caesars, Horseshoe Baltimore and fans of all three brands. Caesars gains an early foothold into what is sure to be an active Maryland market. The Ravens get the backing of one of, if not the biggest sportsbook in the country, Ceasars aligns with Maryland’s most successful sporting franchise, Horseshoe Baltimore get some pre-legalization clout and the fans get a second-to-none wagering experience that includes Caesars’s top-notch loyalty program.
