UFC Heavyweight Bout – Main Event
The UFC odds for this matchup were Curtis Blaydes -450 and Chris Daukaus +325 at your top-rated sportsbooks at BMR. Now, the odds clearly spoke for themselves.
In my UFC prediction, I envisioned Daukaus trying to finish the fight in the first round. The deeper the fight went, the more likely I saw Blaydes bringing the fight to the ground or even finishing Daukaus on the feet.

Let’s just say Blaydes did not even attempt to bring the fight to the ground.
Recap
Anyway, Round 1 – Daukaus was connecting with this right; a jab from Blaydes. They both were keeping a slow pace as if they were staying cautious of each other’s knockout power.
Blaydes then connects with a nasty left kick and a right; Daukaus aims to counter but misses. The two exchanged strikes and Blaydes was really utilizing those leg kicks to wear on Daukaus but Daukaus continued to try to apply pressure.
Towards the end of round 1, Daukaus landed an eye poke on Blaydes. They restarted and fought until the horn. I gave Blaydes the first round.
