So NBA subsidizes the WNBA to the tune of ~$10M/yr. That's not a huge amount considering the average NBA player makes $7.5M but, it still makes you wonder, why the NBA is doing this. Do they think long-term the WNBA will eventually come around and draw an audience that makes it profitable?
