i mean I went to college for 4 years.....didn't finish, but i was in college

changed my major 3x, so even though i was in year 4 I had 2 minors and gen eds done, just not a major. Had at least 3-4 more semesters

dropped out when I was a math major. I was in calc 3 learning why numbers were odd/even with proofs and derivatives and yada yada

also my older brother has a masters degree and couldn't find a job as a teacher. So i watched my older smarter brother have all the degrees and not find a job....so why am i still in school trying to do the same thing

left and started selling cars....12 years later, i think it was the right decision

Yeah, education will not always lead you to success, I mean, it's good because you're ready when the right opportunity arises... but, if only I could turn back time, I would focus on my passion and develop from there.

Learn Spanish and get a 4 year nurse degree

$135k first year

Plenty of opportunities if you’re willing to move and can deal with understaffing and burn out.

Nursing is like truck driving - literally see people going through 3-4 employers a year - jumping for a few dollars and promised better work environment. End of the day - 98% is false promises.

After my accident saw many happy younger nurses and techs. And this in Florida where its currently overpopulated state

My idea is go spend a year in a Saudi prison. Fly back first class and then see how that $3800 a week check feels

The "travelers" (nurses that are on short-term contracts) at my wife's hospital make bank. Of course, they are contractors and do not get any benefits (med, 401k, vaca, etc...) so they should be paid more but they make well above what would cover the benefits and traveling costs.

Her hospital has had dozens of nurses quit during and since covid and become travelers (usually the young ones with no kids) to build wealth quickly. That just adds to the problem since they are replaced with new travelers and the cycle goes on and on.
