Holy crap, I just read how the League Phase will be played out. My head hurts now. Its so damn complicated it will take AI to figure out the schedule of games (comes out manana).

The Pots kid of seem meaningless other than "ranking" the teams so everyone plays a mix of all pots.

Bottom line seems to be PSG has the hardest schedule to get through and Atalanta has the easiest based on UEFA coefficient ratings.

Italy : Venice vs Torino : 12:30pm

Torino @ 2.15 ( 2 units )

Italian soccer has fallen off the past 8 to 10 years , as many top players go the way of England , Spain and Germany. Part of the decline was due to a lack of finances by ownership and the unveiling of several match fixing allegations. Venice are newly promoted to Serie A and began their campaign with a 3 - 1 loss at Lazio , then a draw less result at Fiorentina. The result at Fiorentina was a bit tainted as Fiorentina rested Midfielder Ikone and gave Forward Sottil a 23 minute run , in addition to resting others ahead of a huge Ch League clash 3 days later. Torino have bolstered their side both in funding and player movement. The 2 results to start the season , a 2 - 2 draw at AC Milan and a home win over Atalanta ( 2 - 1 ). It is a very hot 32c / 90f in Venice at kickoff , so I will back the superior midfield to wear out Venice and have them chasing shadows.

Italy A : Inter Milan vs Atalanta : 2:45pm

Over 2.5 @ 1.70 ( 3 units )

The line on Inter Milan has been bet down as the injury list for Atalanta continues to grow. The hardest hit position is the back 4 for Atalanta as Kalasinac , Scalvini , Toloi all miss out again today. Without key midfielder Zanioli and forward Scamacca , they are a shadow of their best team. Since Serie A is an offensive league , with 11 of 20 teams going Over the 2.5 for the 23/24 season , I expect the trend to continue.

Thank you for acknowledging this. I was mystified myself. I don't see how they can consider this an improvement
