TV has killed all the sports. I guess they are more popular than ever. But it is definitely different than back in the days when a game being on TV was actually a big deal. Now you do not really need to go to games and it has all been corporatized for TV. I know what it used to be like to watch games and I can't watch all these commercials.

Great thread SS. Too damn expensive for the average fan to take the family too where it has always been the cheapest. Because of this, the atmosphere is not the same either. The passion of the crowd isn't there. See more corporate suits than "fans"
