So if it hits 80k in 2 yrs it was due to the Halvening? Come on. It's a flop as predicted.
If bitcoin followed previous patterns, the the ATH would be in mid 2025. German gov't sold BTC, US gov't sold all their silk road BTC, the Mt Gox BTC was distributed. Seems that we are getting the bad out of the way.

I don't care if you like Trump or not, same with Kamala, the dems don't like BTC. Trump says he won't sell any. Trump may give positions to both Musk and RFK Jr. Both are crypto advocates.

Kamala wants a 25% unrealized gains tax and 45% capital gains tax. Both really hurt BTC.

I can't see either side going after BTC more than the IRS did in 2014 when they called it taxable property. That was crushing.

The only way they would tax BTC more is by taxing all gains similarly and I'm not sure they will bite that off in next 4 years. More likely see them raise $ via tax on $400k+ income and corporations.

Of course I wont hold you to it, but what do you think the price will be in mid 2025?
Just interested in your guess.
Thanks Raiders

For the thousands time, the money is in the stock market long-term you can’t go wrong. It’s free money.
Ok JJ, but then what's the point of acquiring Bitcoin then? It was created as an anonymous hedge against the stock market essentially. A competing currency outside of the control of Central banks.

Now it's basically a part of it and a lot of it is no longer anonymous. People were supposed to be able to buy it without no one especially the government to know it was in your possession.

I guess that went down the drain?

It kind of sucks BTC became somewhat "main stream".

The halvening came and went. A nothing burger. Technical analysis is for retards. If it doubles in 2025 you cant say it has anything to do with the halvening.

yes I am taking my victory lap and no I’m afraid I won’t be opening a bar called THE HALVENING

That's an interesting concept.

The bar would only deal in crypto payments for tabs.
You could have TVs setup showing various live crypto prices instead of sports.
Drinks could be named the Satochi, the frozen Blockchain, the Fiat mixer.....

I like it. Pair with a HODL HAMBURGER, LASER EYES LAGER, and a shot of TO THE MOON TEQUILA

I'm still not sure how this works. Isn't global INstability supposed to be BAD for fiat. Ergo, good for crypto? Why are we dipping then?
I'm got next to zero knowledge on crypto but I have some as an investment.

I'm wondering with the changes allowing Wall Street to sell Crypto investments, it is now tied closely to the stock market and we ride the waves of the stock market now.?.?

The stock market is dropping due to middle-east instability and the longshoreman's strike. So that could be it or..... I'm a complete idiot and have no idea what I'm talking about.:ROFLMAO:

This dip, though it is just a dip for ants at this point, may be due to liquidity issues in China (just a thought).

You would think that it would perform well in WW3 situation, but maybe not in the first moments of it.

I think I asked this several months ago either in this thread or another but....
Which non-custodial crypto wallet do you recommend for IOS system?

I've been studying various wallets off and on for weeks, visiting dozens and dozens of review sites, trying to find the best one to use and I can't find a new one without coming across horrible reviews. I already have two wallets but need another to spread my exposure out.

When I see one I like (i.e. noncustodial, IOS, no-KYC, etc..), I read more reviews and people say, it's bad, not secure, or a scam. WTH? How can every non-custodial wallet be bad or a scam?

I'm almost ready to go with Ledger or Trezor hardware wallets but I hate not having the currency in a hot wallet.

Here are some that I've considered but am hesitant to go with:
- Trust Wallet
- Zengo
- Electrum

Any feedback from you guys who are way more knowledgeable than me would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Every wallet is basically the same besides a few design features. For example, some let you label transactions, some easily let you adjust the fees used when sending BTC (some don't or make it hard for you to do), some show you funds received that haven't yet confirmed on the blockchain while others don't. As for security, it's a guess. Just go with Trust and write down your pword/seed phrase somewhere safe (google how to do this).
