If bitcoin followed previous patterns, the the ATH would be in mid 2025. German gov't sold BTC, US gov't sold all their silk road BTC, the Mt Gox BTC was distributed. Seems that we are getting the bad out of the way.

I don't care if you like Trump or not, same with Kamala, the dems don't like BTC. Trump says he won't sell any. Trump may give positions to both Musk and RFK Jr. Both are crypto advocates.

Kamala wants a 25% unrealized gains tax and 45% capital gains tax. Both really hurt BTC.
Kamala is fukking disaster. She would ruin this country.

How the fukk does someone with no experience governing anything get to run for President?

She's never ran a business, a state, anything.

A San Francisco prosecutor that prosecuted ZERO cases.

A Border Czar that never visited a border that became the worst border in world history.

She is a failure at everything she touches.

Can you imagine if she gets ahold of our finances?

"Redistribute the wealth"=getting robbed.

Every wallet is basically the same besides a few design features. For example, some let you label transactions, some easily let you adjust the fees used when sending BTC (some don't or make it hard for you to do), some show you funds received that haven't yet confirmed on the blockchain while others don't. As for security, it's a guess. Just go with Trust and write down your pword/seed phrase somewhere safe (google how to do this).
I have the seeds/p-words in the safe for the wallets I currently have. Don't want to mess that up.

I like the Trust Wallet options with one exception.... I read they only accept Native Segwit BTC ("bc1q") which isn't a deal breaker but I need to confirm that.

What do you guys use, if you don't mind me asking.

Tanko, FWIW, I use Kraken to hold my operating funds. Crypto I am actively trading and/or gambling with. Anything I know I wanna hold longer term is on a Trezor.

You mean they only generate Native Segwit addresses to receive funds. So?

I'm still not sure how this works. Isn't global INstability supposed to be BAD for fiat. Ergo, good for crypto? Why are we dipping then?
I used to totally think this and it seemed to be the case in the beginning of crypto, but it definitely seems last several years crypto follows global trends (market, instability, etc).

I’m definitely not the expert some in this thread are. My guess would be this is because crypto has become so much more mainstream and not the underground and under the radar currency it once was.

Bad wording. What I meant to say was someone mentioned on Reddit it only handles BTC....

I wanted other crypto options as well. Now that I've looked into more detail on Trust Wallet, I see that is not the case.

Thanks for the help.

Trust Wallet is OK.
A few things I don't like about it.
  1. You only get 1 receiving address and it can never change.
  2. They only allow bech32 addresses ("bc1"), no legacy addresses.
  3. I'm not sure how their BTC transfers are handled through the blockchain but the fees are kind of steep relative to other wallets. I was surprised there was such a difference. I guess since they are associated with Binance maybe there are some differences.?.?
  4. The Scrolling "ad" in the middle of the app on the main page is annoying as hell.

Hardware wallet is best option for large sums. Not connected to anything.

Ace, does your Trezor have the passphrase option to add a layer of security on top of the seed phrases? Also, I've heard on a Trezor you can have hidden wallet. Are you familiar with that and do you use it?

KR Have you used the multisig portion of the wallet? The one where you have 3 separate 12 -24 word seed phrases?
No...I try to keep it simple as possible. I hate to admit this but tried out a new wallet last year, deposited and didn't use until few months later. They needed 12 Word phrase thingy and of course I don't know if I ever created 1 or just lost. Meanwhile BTC had doubled in price. Never recovered it.😡

I do have a 12 Word backup seed phrase for this wallet yes.
