Ran football pools years ago - that was bad enough.

Refer and take the commission - let someone else be the bookie.

Participated in a work football pool one time. Threw in $20 and won the whole thing. Guy who ran it owed me $1,000 but didn't have it. Found out he was a cocaine addict. Tried to pull a Brock Landers and wrote me a bad check so I called his wife. She paid me $500 and invited me to a gang bang where she was the one getting banged. True fucking story. I should write a book with some of the shit I've done/seen.

jj in case you are about to start your own PPH book:

do not take action @BMR Genie - she's got that BMR rating algorythm thing... that picks 60% winners in baseball AND football

if anything, limit her stake and use her action TO SHAPE LINES

Similar story. I've run the pool and was a participant at work.
People don't pay up. Its crazy because you see them every day and they know they are deadbeats but they just don't GAF.

I run a small book for friends and some of their friends, have had a PPH shop for years. I keep limits low , all my lines are -110, I keep it small, friendly , never had an issue, always made money, just for fun. These are guys that have no interest in offshore or to get accounts at books. It is fun and easy to do.
