So from your understanding the money always moves the markets & not really the % of the public bet ? I understand a lot of times when the public bet has the majority of the tickets then the money will also be heavy to one side for movement.
I just need some clarification on this & have you ever talked about RLM in one of your videos. Another term in this industry I don’t quite understand how it is actually implemented with betting numbers.
Yeah money is definitley going to be more influential than any bet% but know that if there is a high percentage on one side, there is probably high money too.
Sometimes those percentages are wrong or misleading, you have to always use common sense. I use gauges, like the public gauge and other metrics to help corroborate whether Joe Blow is on that side as a public bettor.
If you put the picture together, and see that the public is likely on one side, but that line moves the other way, you might have RLM.
I've talked about RLM before but not so much in a video. These days it can be controversial as the % numbers can be questioned. Some think there is no contrarian edges anymore, but I maintain that you need to really assess what contrarian is, like my Contrarian Funds.
Sometimes it's not easy, sometimes it's confusing, and sometimes we just get burned as info and assumptions can be wrong.
It's always a work in progress.
